All on Four

All on four treatment is the application of fixing the full dental prosthesis on the same day on 4 to 6 implants placed at certain angles with surgical operation in fully toothless patients.

All on four treatment is a fast and effective treatment method to eliminate conditions where important surgical treatments such as sinus lift, bone addition and bone failure should be performed without teeth.

What Does It Mean All-on-4?

The implant method, also known worldwide as all-on-4, aims to offer a complete treatment for the entire jaw mechanism. The reason for all-on-4 in this treatment method is not that 4 implant studies are performed. Contrary to popular knowledge; It is a tooth mounting work organized for all teeth on 4 basic implant screws.

Implant work is possible for all 32 teeth expected to be healthy in adults. However, performing surgical intervention with 32 different screws in a jaw mechanism will be a dramatic procedure that can negatively affect both the quality of the operation and patient health.

For this reason, the meaning of the all-on-4 implant system developed; It can be expressed as a single implant system covering a large number of teeth constructed on 4 basic screws.

The application provides comfort in patient health with the number of screws up to a maximum of 6 and offers permanent treatment thanks to the procedures performed at certain angles.

What is All-on-4 dental implants

In the treatment of All on 4, the titanium screw mechanism used in conventional implants is used. In the traditional implant method, 8 or 10 implants are used to replace the lost teeth in the patient who is completely toothless, while only 4 implants are fitted with this new technique.

The implants used in this treatment are placed with special angles. The angle of the implants is determined according to the current bone structure and quantity. Usually as a result of early tooth loss and sinus sagging, implantation of the back areas may become difficult. Extra surgical procedures may be required to do so. In the All on Four system, openings are made accordingly and the person is prevented from going toothless.

How Is All On 4 Treatment Done?

A detailed clinical and radiological examination is performed on the people who are scheduled to be treated with all-on-4. By making measurements on computed tomography (CT), appropriate planning is made for the patient and temporary prostheses are prepared according to the measurement taken from the patient before starting treatment. Then, if the patient has teeth to be pulled under local anesthesia, they are pulled out and implanted.

2 implants are placed in the thickest part of the bone in the front of the jawbone and 2 implants are placed in the back of the jawbone. After 4 implants are placed in the jawbone, the temporary dental prosthesis is fixed on the dental implants by placing bridges or crowns on the implants. On average, after 3-4 months, the patient’s permanent prostheses are installed.

What are the Advantages of All On 4 Implant Treatment?

This implant method combines classic implant treatment and full dental prosthesis treatment and has significant advantages over them.

  • Fixed dental prosthesis can be performed with a single surgical intervention on the same day for patients without teeth
  • The insertion time of the dental implant is quite short
  • Since the number of implants fitted is small and no additional surgical procedures are required, it is less costly than a conventional dental implant. The type of prosthesis that will come on top of it can increase the cost.
  • Cleaning and maintenance is more comfortable than fixed dental prostheses
  • Hybrid prostheses may be preferred for pink aesthetics.
  • It is specially designed for the patient and provides a fully fit and aesthetic appearance to the person’s oral structure
  • It is more comfortable than movable dental prostheses and is suitable for patients who have problems with moving dental prosthesis
  • Since its design is different from full dental prostheses, it does not cover the palate and is more comfortable and easy to use.
  • Annual regular checks are important
  • Since it is a screw system, it will be easier to intervene in the problems that may occur.

How Much Are All On 4 Treatment Prices?
